Shree Ambaji Arts College in village Kumbhariya started in 1991 and is now a premier college in Banaskantha District more for tribal and weaker section of society students. The constitution of the Shree Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust , Ambaji is such that the Chairman of the Trust remains the Collector of Banaskatha and there is Dy. Collector of Ambaji Temple Trust to look after routine work. It is permanently affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan and recognized by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(b). It imparts education in the subjects of Gujarati, Hindi , Sanskrit as main subjects and Sociology and psychology as subsidiary while there is foundation English compulsory with SCOPE exam facility set up by Society for Creation of Proficiency in English , under taken by Government of Gujarat.

The college was established with a mission of promoting education in North Gujarat by giving better infrastructure facility in tribal belt . It believes that education is the only non violent means by which the world changes for the better place to live. The College imparts education through the faculty of Arts , Commerce , Information Technology ( B.C.A ) and Distance mode of BAOU. The college has well equipped Library .   The college runs Hostels for boys and girls with nominal fees of Rs.51 per month only. The college has about 10 acres of campus area and built up area is about 9932.59 SQ. M . The college is recognized by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(b). Status recognized under UGC ACT. The college runs as a Day College for the weaker section within the tribal area of the society .

In huge long area of 10 acres the College Campus has been organized and along with many vivid educational and social activities. The graph of progress always remained upward though belonging to the tribal and rural area. It is necessary for students to acquire knowledge basically from books and class room but for the overall development of students the institution has co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like sports, NSS , NCC and cultural activities for overall development of students. As a result the College is flourishing and it provides the benefits of higher education to increasing numbers of students who belong to tribal belt area.

Ambaji College students has not only secured good marks but also acquired scored well at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University every year . In Sports m there students have participated at State and National level competition. The instution always gains average of 90 to 95 percentage result which is remarkable contribution in the area of higher education institution located in rural and tribal area. The college has library which is fully ventilated and is equipped with books , text books , reference books and has book bank facility for the benefit of students
