Talcher College, Talcher (estd-1969) is located in a sylvan surrounding beside NH-200, sprawling out into the flora and fauna of Ranipark with an atmosphere highly conducive to teaching and learning. The College has been imparting Teaching in Arts, Science and Commerce at Higher Secondary and Degree level. The College is fully fledged with all streams and honors academic facilities in almost all the subjects. It has been accredited by NAAC with B+ Grade which incidentally is the highest accreditation status among the Govt. & Non-Govt. Degree Colleges of undivided Dhenkanal district. The Autonomous Status conferred by the UGC will hopefully go a long way in enhancing the pride and prestige of the College. Besides N.S.D, NCC, Red Cross and other co-curricular activities, the college also has a special study centre of IGNOU. A fully furnished Gents Hostel caters to the need of the students coming from far off areas.
