The first collegiate institution of KLE was established in 1932 in the form of the Lingaraj College which offered a degree in Arts. Subsequently the Society established several colleges offering degree and post graduate courses in Science, Arts and Commerce across Karnataka. Recently, KLE has established a degree college at Mumbai. With nine of the Society’s colleges re-accredited at the “A” level by NAAC and three of them gaining autonomous status, impetus has been provided for the introduction of innovative courses with the aim of adding value to conventional education and the incorporation of courses and interventions that facilitate skill development and consequently an enhanced employability.
