KRISHNA BORA B. ED. COLLEGE was established in 1996 by the educationists of Lanka. It is the sole teacher training institute of Hojai Sub-Division. It fulfills the need of Teacher Training of Nagaon Distrct, particularly Hojai Sub-Division and its neighboring Districts of Karbi Anglong and N.C. Hills. It has now become one of the premier institutes of the state. The college was started at Lanka High School and its name was Lanka B. Ed. College. Then after it was renamed as Krishna Bora B. Ed. College.The college was shifted to its own building in the year 2000 located at L. P. Road, N. Area, Lanka. The distance of the college from National High Way is near about 1 k.m. and from Lanka Rly. Station is 1.5 k.mThe college has got permission from Gauhati Univesity in the year 1998. And N.O.C. from the Govt. of Assam in the year 2000 vide letter No. A(I)E 132/2000/46 dated Dispur, the 14th september,2000. The college has recognized by N.C.T.E. vide letter No. ERC/7-51 (ER 51.7.1/2004/3585(i) dt 8th Dec 2004. Now our college is affiliated by Gauhati University vide E.C. letter No. 2006/14/ 121(13) dt 19-08-2006.The college is running in its own building consists of adequate numbers of class room, one big hall, multipurpose and Technological Laboratory, computer room and good library with necessary text books and reference books, journals and magazines. The college has facilities for games and Sports, cultural activities and all other related Co-curricular activities.
