Started in the year 1997 in the town of Udupi, Shree Krishna Educational Trust was launched with the aim of providing opportunities to students seeking professional courses that would ensure them rewarding careers.

Since then a trend of quality education has been established by the college in the form of two professional colleges, namely Udupi Institute of Hotel & Tourism Science (affiliated to Mangalore University) & Udupi College of Nursing (affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore, KNC, INC).
