Virangana Maharani Laxmi Bai Government Girls Degree College was established under the Government Order no. 1978/15-17/96/seventy/96/Lko, dated 19/06/1996 on the land of legendary Rani of Jhansi due to the increased demand for higher education institutes in Uttar Pradesh. Educating a woman is educating a family as it caters to the overall personality development of girl students by infusing the spirit of its logo – ‘ Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devta’.
