LIBRARY

“Library is a heart of an Institution”-Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Former President of India. Dhirajlal Gandhi College of Technology has established the Central Library in 2005. The Library is housed in a vast area of 1431 Sq/m with a Centralized Air Conditioned facility. The Library's main objective is to provide the right source to the right user at the right time. Besides, the Library has a vast collection of Books, Journals, Magazines, E-Resources, Newspapers, Project Reports, Back Volumes, and CDs/DVDs in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Management, Science and Humanities.Dhirajlal Gandhi College of Technology has a Central Library, in addition to the Department Library which collectively supports the teaching - learning, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All the Students and Faculty Members of the Institute are encouraged to use the Library facilities by getting a Library Membership.

Smart Classes

ICT Smart Class room is an innovative teaching learning tools which brings explanatory content into visually attractive content by integrating learning technology such as computers with Internet connectivity, learning management system (LMS), audio & video systems, and LCD projector with whiteboard. Collaborative learning environment, simple, friendly and non-intimidating classroom technology inspires the presenters who rely on improvisation, spontaneity and audience participation.This helps the faculty members to effectively deliver the subjects with graphical components (charts, graphs, etc), animations and simulations etc. This tool can make the faculty members to easily implement the method of pedagogy. Students can have a learning environment which supports collaborative learning through simulation and live interaction. This facility increases the learning interest of the students in studies. All the computer systems have internet connection and Wi-Fi connection facilities.

SPORTS

The boys and girls who join this college are selected for the different outdoor and indoor games based on their earlier exposure at school level. The new players for the various sports and games are picked up by the interest evidenced by them in sports activities.The selected students are given rigorous training and coaching by the physical education department apart from few theory classes to enlighten them about the rules of the games. The management procures in consultation with department the entire essential play materials, which is under is the custody of the department for instant use by the students.The students practicing various sports and games are given routine physical exercises over and above the yoga and meditation which strengthen the concentration and contribution of the players.

Hostel

The college has well equipped hostel accommodation to its students, separately for Boys and Girls on the campus. The Hostel provides accommodation for all the needy students. The rooms are furnished with Table, Chair, Cot and Fan. A Committee consisting of the following personnel manages the Hostel.

CANTEEN

The College has a spacious and airy Canteen. It provides a variety of wholesome, tasty snacks and food at a reasonable price. The Canteen also provides packaged snacks items, bakery products, soft drinks to the taste and requirements of not only the students but also the staff members. A Co-operative Store is available in the college. It satisfies all other academic needs of the students.

Best Practices

Faculty will give their technical presentations as per the schedule prepared for this purpose. The topic of presentation may be selected based on recent technological developments in engineering domain. And the topic may be included in any of their specialised technical domain such as journal publications, patent laws, patent drafting for beginners, etc. End of the session / presentation there will be a feed back to evaluate the understanding of the individuals /teachers. It keeps the faculty members updated on current trends related to innovation, Research and patents in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology.
