Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, named after Mary Immaculate, is a Christian minority institution which is open to all irrespective of religion, caste or creed. It aims at giving effective training to the youth to become medical and nursing professionals devoted to the healing ministry, especially in the rural areas. It also strives to strengthen the quality of service offered in the large number of medical institutions run by the community. AIMS is a unit of Amala Cancer Hospital Society managed by the Devamatha Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), founded by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a sage cum savant.
Amala College of Nursing is a unit of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, under the auspices of CMI Devamatha Province. It was established in 2005, with an intake of 50 students. It is recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council, and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences. The college offers basic B.Sc. Nursing programme, M.Sc. Nursing programme and an approved centre for Ph.D. in Nursingg under Students are admitted to this institute as per the admission procedure stipulated by the concerned authorities and in the tenor of the admission policy of the management.

Hostel
Amalites consider the hostel as their second home. The campus offers excellent residential facilities in a serene home atmosphere to foster learning environment. Amalities enjoy their campus life by getting easily blended with greenery and ambience of hostel and the campus.
Canteen and Coffee Hub
The sprawling campus has one OP canteen and one IP canteen which is open 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Also there is a multi cuisine restaurant which serves both National and International menu. Also there are many mini coffee hubs throughout the campus and inside the hospital.
Parking
There is a vast area allotted for parking in the campus, which is sufficient to meet the needs of students, faculty, patients and other visitors
Auditorium
Amala Campus has 4 excellent auditoriums with adequate seating capacity. The main auditorium caters to a seating capacity of 500. The new library block auditorium which is centrally air conditioned offers a seating capacity of 300, with good Wifi connectivity and facilities for hosting National and International events. There are 3 more mini auditoriums with a seating capacity of >100. There are also 2 smart rooms with interactive panels and facility for conducting online webinars and workshops.
Classroom
The class room are learning hubs of any institution. Amala College of Nursingg has adequate number of well equipped class rooms. All Classrooms are provided with facilities of ICT enabled learning.
