The College of Physiotherapy, Medical Trust Institute of Medical Sciences is a unit of Pullikal Medical Foundation and started in the year 2005 with the objective of establishing a state of the art Physiotherapy Institution in Kerala. The college is located at Medical Trust Institute of Medical Sciences Campus, Irumbanam, which is 5 km away from the city of Kochi. Kochi is a Metropolitan City and is well connected to the neighbouring states through an efficient network of road, rail and air transport. The college of Physiotherapy is recognized by State government and now affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Trissur. Previously it was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

Admission Process for Medical Trust College of Physiotherapy

Duration of the course is 2 years and Eligibility is BPT with a minimum of 50% marks .Total Intake 10 Nos.

BACHELORS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY

Duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months compulsory internship.Eligibility:-Candidates who have passed Higher secondary examination of the Board of Higher secondary Education, Kerala or examination recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology separately, and aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology are eligible.

Blood Bank 

The Hospital offers 24 Hour Blood Bank services and caters to all routine and emergency transfusion requirements.

Pharmacy

The Hospital has a well stocked pharmacy offering round the clock service. The Pharmacy provides most imported and rare drugs, vaccines, surgicals, prosthesis and implants. The Hospital has an exclusive pharmacy for inpatients.

Diet Service

The department of dietetics at Medical Trust Hospital offers services of trained dieticians, who are also available for diet counseling. We provide clean and spacious and easily accessible dining rooms for the use of outpatients and bystanders and room service to all inpatients.

Orthotics and Prosthetics

We have an In-house Orthotics and Prosthetics Department that designs all types of Orthotic appliances and prosthesis including artificial limbs, braces etc. according to needs of the patients.

Medical Trust Hospital has one of the best clinical laboratories in the State, equipped with the latest facilities and experienced pathologists.
