Om Sterling Global University is a newly established private university located in Hisar, Haryana. It was established in March 2019. The campus of the university is spread over 30 acres of fully-developed institutional land, has a lush green campus with modern infrastructure and an excellent academic atmosphere. Eligibility criteria for admission to the Ph.D. programmes
- A candidate seeking admission in the Ph.D. programme must have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent to Master’s degree as per UGC regulations.
- A relaxation of 5% of marks is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.
Duration of the Ph.D. Programmes
- Ph.D. programme is for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years.
Application Process
The candidate desiring to seek admission to the Ph.D. programmes at Om Sterling Global University (OSGU) shall apply for the same on a prescribed application form by the due date as announced by OSGU. Candidates can fill the Application Form from the link given below.
Send the hard copy of duly filled application along with all required documents to Dean (Research), Om Sterling Global University, NH-52, Hisar-Chandigarh Road, Juglan, Hisar (Haryana) – 125001, India on or before the last date.

Selection Procedure
The selection will be done on the following criteria –
- For candidates who have valid score in the national tests, selection will be made on the bases of performance in the interview.
- For candidates who do not have valid score in national tests like GATE, will have to appear in Entrance Test and will have the following weightage of various components for admission: Entrance test marks – 70%, and Interview – 30%.
NOTE- The candidates, who have valid score in national tests like UGC-CSIR (JRF) examination / NET/ SLET / GATE/ teacher fellowship holder or have passed the M.Phil. degree, will be exempted to appear in entrance test. The inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined by their score in UGC/CSIR Exam/SLET/GATE.
PhD Entrance Test Format
The question paper will be objective type and of 2 hours duration. The minimum qualifying percentage is 50%. Written Test will comprise of two types of questions.
- 50 questions on research aptitude (MCQ Type)
- 50 questions on respective subject (MCQ Type)
