Sarguja University PhD Admission 2024-25

Sarguja University was formerly known as Sarguja Vishvavidyalaya. It was established in 2008. The University offers M.A, M.Sc, and LLM courses at the PG level, and a Diploma course. It also offers Ph.D. courses in a multitude of disciplines. Sarguja University is a teaching-cum-affiliating university with 7 departments, 1 constituent college, and 75 affiliated colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

• Post Graduate Degree in the respective and related subjects from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% Marks in M.Tech/ME/MD/M.Pharm/Pharm.D/M.Ed/M.Sc. in respective and related subjects.

How to Apply

A candidate opting for admission to the PhD program offered by Sarguja University can get the application form from the booklet of Program and Prospectus. Candidates can also download the Prospectus (application form) available on the university website or obtain it in person from the university admission office. Candidates are required to submit the completed applications along with the demand draft (DD) in the office of the concerned Department/ College. A Demand Draft of Rs. 350/- must be drawn in favor of “REGISTRAR, SARGUJA UNIVERSITY, AMBIKAPUR” and is payable at Ambikapur. If candidates need to purchase an application form, a receipt of Rs. 350/- obtained from the University against application/admission form fee must be duly submitted. The applications should be submitted along with the following documents:

• Domicile Certificate & other weightage claim certificate.
• Caste Certificate, wherever applicable.
• Certificate showing date of birth.
• Mark sheet/Certificate of all classes from 10th to the qualifying examination.

Admission Procedure

The selection of candidates is done via an entrance exam. However, applicants who have cleared UGC NET,& SET examinations are exempted from the entrance examination. Applicants working in the National Laboratories and MNCs holding high positions above the rank of a Scientist-C/ Dy. Manager/Dy. Director with a research experience of over 05 years are also exempted from the entrance examination. In-service candidates from other than Sarguja University are encouraged to apply only if they are willing to work full-time at Sarguja University. It is also advised to produce the following documents at the time admission:

• Passport size photos
• Transfer Certificate.
• Character Certificate.
• Original mark sheet for verification.
• Eligibility Certificate, if required.
• Migration Certificate, if required.
• A No Objection Certificate from the Employer in the case of the in-service candidate.
• Gap certificate, if required
