Saurashtra University PhD Admission 2024-25

Saurashtra University was established on 23rd May 1967 with the aim to achieve excellence in teaching and research and to empower students. It is accredited by the NAAC in 2014 with Grade 'A'. Saurashtra University offers UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, Research Courses in different departments of Technology, Law, Science, Computer Application, Arts, Social Work, Commerce, Pharmacy, Education, and Medical Science.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall have a Master's Degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's Degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC-7 point scale.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories of candidates.

How to Apply?

The application mode for the Saurashtra University is offline. Candidates seeking admission must buy the application form from the university office. Candidates outside Gujarat can get this by post by sending a Demand Draft enclosed in a self-addressed A4 size envelope. The Application form is also available on the university website, candidates may also download it from the website. The dully filled-in application form must the send to the prescribed address along with the Demand Draft and all the required documents.

Procedure for Admission

• Saurashtra University shall admit Ph.D. students through an Entrance Test Conducted by it. The University may decide separate terms & conditions for Ph.D. Entrance Test for those students who qualify UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR, NET, SLET, GATE and have passed M.Phil. programme.
