Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate seeking admission to the course for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) shall have to obtain at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent Grade point.
  • Relaxation upto 5% marks may be availed by the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

  • Visit the website and tap on Apply Online
  • Enter the required personal details
  • Choose the course out of all
  • Pay the application fee through either Debit/Credit Cards or Net Banking
  • Review the application form and submit
  • Find the Acknowledgement Slip and take a print out of the submitted form

Selection Criteria

  • All applicants seeking admission to the Doctoral programme of the University [except foreign students applying for admission] must clear the Dibrugarh University Research Admission Test (DURAT). The candidates who have qualified the UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil programme (in regular mode and in the concerned subject) are exempted from appearing the DURAT. However, these candidates have to apply for admission as per the University Notification. These candidates have to appear a viva-voce/ interview for getting selection for admission. 

NOTE- Not more than 50% of the seats in the subject concerned shall be filled up by the candidates, who are exempted from appearing the DURAT as per the provisions above.
