Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies( KUFOS) is the first university devoted to studies in fisheries and confederated disciplines. It was established by the government of Kerala in 2010. It’s an independent and public-funded institution with headquarters at Panangad, Kochi. The University offers UG, PG, and Doctoral programs in Fisheries Science. It also offers PG Parchment in Aquarium Science and Technology and Diploma in Brackish water and Marine Aquaculture. The selection criteria for colorful courses are grounded on the results of the entrance test conducted each time.

KUFOS Panangad Admission

The campaigners who wish to take admission then must fill the operation form in the specified format. The Entrance examination for colorful courses are conducted by the University itself. Still, it also considers colorful other entrance examinations to grant admission in UG and PG courses like KEAM, NEET- UG, CAT, and CMAT, etc. scholars can apply for 5 programs at a time and if they wish to apply for further courses they ’ll have to pay fresh freights.

Operation Procedure

Visit the sanctioned website of the university and click on Admission Option under Admission Tab.

A new tab will open and now you need to register yourself by creating a stoner ID and word.

After registering yourself, login to your account using the same stoner id and word.

After you logging in, fill the operation form meetly with correct information and save them contemporaneously.

Now you need to elect your preferred courses and choose your order wherever applicable and upload supporting documents.

Last but not least submit your operation form by making the needed payments.

Now take a print out of operation form for unborn references.

KUFOS Panangad Placement

A placement cell of the University ensures a maximum number of placements to UG and PG. Alumni of the university are working with colorful transnational and public academic exploration and artificial associations. 

It holds the record of producing the maximum number of Agricultural Research Scientists for the nation. A good number of officers in the Central and State Fisheries Department are alumni of the university. It produced a large number of entrepreneurs, professionals, and scientists in the field of Food Technology, Oceanography, Management, Maritime Law, Fish Processing, Monoculture, Hatchery, and Ornamental Fish sector.

Installations and amenities available then are 

Library- The library is well equipped with ultramodern widgets. There are over 19000 books, out of which 2000 are reference books and 17000 are handbooks on fisheries and confederated subjects. 

Museum- Museum for fishes, crustaceans, mollusks, submarine shops and spongers fishes maintained by the university and it has a public terrarium of fresh water. 

Swimming Pool- There’s a widespread swimming pool in the lot of the University which has a capacity of four and a half lakh litres of water. 

Hostel- University provides separate hotel installations for boys and girls in the lot. Hostel is completely equipped with the amenities that are needed for a healthy stay. The boys hotel has a capacity of 60 scholars and has 2 guest apartments. Girls hotel has the capacity to accommodate 133 scholars. 

Computer installations- University has a well-furnished computer lab funded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research( ICAR). The lab is completely equipped with computers and all computers are connected via Original Area Network( LAN).

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies has laid over the spot admission procedure for PG courses. It has now been listed for October 27- October 29, 2020. Campaigners are needed to bring the original documents of all the obligatory documents for admission.

Campaigners must have completed 10 2 in PCM with a minimum of 50 total marks and 50 marks in Mathematics independently.

Campaigners who have studied Computer Science or Biotechnology at 10 2 position are also eligible to apply.

KUFOS B.F.Sc Admissions

KUFOS offers a 4 times duration Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science(B.F.Sc) to eligible campaigners. An aggregate of 80 seats are available in the course including the seats reserved for different-order campaigners. Mentioned below are the details 

KUFOS B.F.Sc Eligibility Criteria

Campaigners must have passed 10 2 from an honored institute with a minimum of 50 total marks and 50 marks in Biology independently.

Campaigners must have studied drugs, Chemistry and Biology at 10 2 position.

KUFOS B.F.Sc Selection Criteria

Selection to the B.F.Sc course is grounded on the seeker’s merit in KEAM or NEET- UG.

Campaigners’ merit in the All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR is also considered.

How to Apply?

Campaigners seeking Admission to BTech and B.F.Sc courses need to appear for separate entrance examinations first. After result protestation, campaigners need to fill the filler KUFOS operation form by following below-mentioned way

After successful enrollment, login using the credential generated.

Fill the operation form with correct particular and academic details.

KUFOS M.F.Sc Eligibility Criteria

Campaigners must have passedB.F.Sc from an honored institute with an OGPA of6.5/10.0 or over.

A relaxation of 5 is handed to SC ST campaigners.

KUFOS M.F.Sc Selection Criteria

Selection to the M.F.Sc program is made through a Common Entrance test conducted by the university itself followed by a particular Interview.

ICAR share seats will be filled by the All- India Entrance examination conducted by ICAR only.

KUFOS M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The introductory eligibility criteria is that campaigners must have a BE/ BTech or original degree with 60 total marks from an honored institute. The specialization-wise eligibility criteria is mentioned below

KUFOS M.Tech Selection Criteria

Selection to M.Tech Coastal & Harbour Engineering and MTech Ocean And Coastal Safety Engineering is grounded on seeker’s merit in GATE/ NET.

Selection to MTech Integrated Coastal Zone Management is grounded on the seeker’s merit in the Common Entrance test conducted by the university.

KUFOS MBA Admissions

KUFOS offers MBA Dual Specialization in 3 disciplines and MBA Energy Management to graduates for a minimal duration of 2 times.

KUFOS MBA Eligibility Criteria

Campaigners must have attained a minimum of 50 total in scale in any discipline from any honored university.

Any professional graduate from State Agriculture Universities or Deemed Universities under the ICAR system with a minimal6.0 CGPA is also eligible for Admission.

Campaigners in the final time of their scale are also eligible to apply.
