Krishna University PhD Admission 2024-25

Krishna University was established in 2008 in the Machilipatnam district of Andra Pradesh by the government of Andra Pradesh. It is recogniozed by University Grants Commission and a member of the Association of Indian Universities. Presently, It offers 22 courses in 70+ specializations. The University also offers Ph.D. programme in various subjects in both full time and part time mode.

PhD Specializations

• Computer Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical science, English, Journalism and Mass Communication, Commerce, and Management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Postgraduate examination of the Krishna University or any other recognized university as equivalent by UGC in the concerned or related subject securing first or second class with at least 55% of marks on the aggregate or equivalent grade point average (GPA). However, in the case of SC and ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% of marks on the aggregate is provided.

Course Duration- 3-5 Years (For Full Time) and 4-6 Years (For Part Time)

Application Process

Candidates should register themselves for admission through the online registration process available at the official university website. Duly filled-in applications should be submitted along with the processing fee within the stipulated time. Candidates must also attend the interview for the said course at the notified date, time and place.

Candidate should log on to the university website and follow the given steps:

• Download the application form available at the official website
• Fill-in the application form completely with all the relevant details
• Completed applications should be submitted along with necessary enclosures and required application fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, Krishna University, Machilipatnam’ and payable at Machilipatnam.

Admission Process

• Candidates will be selected for admission to M.Phil/Ph.D programme on the basis of their marks in entrance examination followed by an interview session. However, if the candidate has hold of M.Phil. degree/ qualified in UGC NET/GATE/JRF/SLET/CSIR/ICAR ICSSR /FIP ,he/she can be admitted at any time of the academic year into the M.Phil/ Ph.D programmes on the basis of interview only.
