Sandip University PhD Admission 2024-25

Sandip University was established in 2017. It is a self financed private university located in Nashik, Maharashtra. The University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, Certificate, and Doctorate level programs in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Law, Commerce and Management, Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Fashion Design and Beauty, Interior Design for the students. It also offers some Part time programs and Vocational courses. The Ph.D. Programme at Sandip University is designed for candidates to solve mainly real time industrial, local, regional, national and inter-national issues/problems.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall have a Master's degree of a Recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
  • Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree.
  • A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (with non-creamy layer)/NT/SBC/PwD.

Duration Of The Programme

  • Ph.D. Programmeme shall be for a minimum duration of 3 years for full time and 4 years for part time, including coursework.
  • Extension beyond the above limits may be granted by the Vice-Chancellor for 1* year (or more in some special case) given through the recommendation of Research Advisory Committee (RAC).
  • The women candidates and Persons with more than 40% disability may be allowed a relaxation of two years for Ph.D. in the maximum duration. In addition, the women candidates may be provided Maternity Leave/Child Care Leave up to 240 days once in the entire duration of Ph.D. Programme.

General Instructions-

Please ensure your eligibility before applying for Programme. The Application Processing fees once paid by the candidates will not be refunded, in any case if they are found ineligible for the applied Programmeme.

Candidates must ensure that application is complete in all respects, including fees payment. The incomplete application or application without necessary attachments may not be considered.

Applications received after the due date will not be considered and the application processing fees paid will not be refunded.

Candidates should append the attested photocopies of certificates and other documents as mentioned below.

  • 10+2/HSC Marksheet and Certificate
  • UG Degree Marksheet and Certificates

  • Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended
  • Caste Certificate and Validity certificate
  • Character/Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended
  • Photocopy of Identity Proof (AADHAR CARD/PAN CARD)
  • No Objection Certificate from Employer
  • Experience Certificates

Application Fee & Mode Of Payment

  • Application Fee- Rs. 1500/- (Rs.750 for SC/ST/Female Candidate)
  • Course Fee- Rs. 99,000/- per annum (Rs. 66,000/- for Life Science/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics)
  • Caution Money- Rs. 10,000/- (Refundable)
  • Examination Fee- Rs. 3,000/Semester
  • Registration Fee- Rs. 10,000/-
  • Thesis Evaluation Fee- Rs. 30,000/-

Mode of Payment- The application fee shall be paid online through NET banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and other modes as appears.

Admission Procedure

The university conducts SUN Ph.D. Entrance Test (SUNPET)  to offer admission in Ph.D. program. M.Phil., UGC-NET, JRF, UGC-CSIR, SLET, GATE, CAT are exempted from attending the SUNPET. However, they have to apply by filling the online application form along with the online payment of application fee and uploading the scanned attested copies of necessary documents. The candidates securing 50% marks in SUNPET will be shortlisted for the personal interview.

Ph.D. Entrance Test

  • Venue: O-Building, Sandip University Campus, Nashik
  • Time: 12:00 PM-02:00 PM (2 Hours)
  • Part-I: Research Methodology, 50 MCQs (50 Marks)
  • Part-II: Discipline specific, such as civil engineering, chemistry, law, physics …etc., 50 MCQs (50 Marks)
  • Total: 100 Marks
