Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University PhD Admission 2024-25

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University is a state university located at Tirupati, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was founded in 2005 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The main motto of the university is to provide quality education in the fields of veterinary science. At present, The University offers various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and PhD programs in different branches of Veterinary, Dairy and Fishery Sciences.

Animal Genetics and Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Poultry Science, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Bio-Technology, Veterinary Gynecology and Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology, Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Aquaculture, Aquatic Animal Health Management, and Fisheries Resource Management.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates with BVSc & AH qualified must have secured minimum OGPA of 6.00/10.00 for general category (for SC/ST/PH-5.00/ 10.00) or 2.50/4.00 for general category [2.00/4.00 in case of SC/ ST/ PH ) or 60% marks in traditional system (for SC/ST/PH-55%] Only residents of Andhra Pradesh are eligible for admission except in case of ICAR Quota.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 40 - 45 years for In-service candidates the upper age limit is 50 years.

Candidates can download the application form from University Official Website OR can also obtain the same from University Campus. Fill all the required details in the application form and attach the attested copies along with the copy of the counter foil having UTR No. / Transaction I.D. of registration fee payment. Submit the dully filled in form and all documents to the following address before the last date:

Candidate will be selected on the basis of the following weightage:-

• Previous academic record of Graduation- 10%
• Previous academic record of Post-Graduation- 20%
• PhD Entrance Test – 50%
• Interview - 20%
