Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand University of Horticulture & Forestry is a State Government University, and is linked with the National Agriculture Research System (NARS) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). It was established in 2011 by an Act of State Legislative Assembly [The Uttarakhand Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidhyalaya (Amendment) Act, 2011 {Uttarakhand Act No.13 of 2011}]. The Head Quarters of the University is at Bharsar Pauri Garhwal. The Name of The University has been changed to VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture& Forestry by an amendment by the State Government vide gazette notification Number 339/XXXVI(3)/2015/89/(1) /2014 dated Januray, 22, 2015.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum eligibility for the Master’s programmes at this University is a pass at the undergraduate level in a relevant discipline from a recognized University in the country.
  • Reservation / sponsored seats is in accordance with Government and UGC regulations.

How to Apply?

Candidates seeking admission can register themselves by following the below given steps:.

  • Candidate should send request for the application form to be posted to your address, by submitting via post a DD for Rs.450/- drawn in favour of Coordinator Admissions, UUHF payable at Punjab National Bank, New Tehri.
  • On receiving the application form, fill in all required details in the form, and verify thoroughly before going for submission.
  • Stick a recent, attested photograph that fits the specifications in the given space.
  • The fee amount of Rs.1000/- for the entrance examination must be paid via DD and submitted along with the completed application form.
  • Alternatively, the form can be bought and submitted at the college office itself, for a fee of Rs. 350, and then the additional Rs. 1000 examination fee.

Selection Process

  • Admission to the post graduate courses is done purely on the basis of merit. An entrance examination is conducted by the University during the second week of July. Based on the performance in this examination, a merit list is prepared and selected candidates will be intimated about further details by the University. Selection may also be subject to performance in an interview conducted at the discretion of the University. Foreign candidates need not appear for the entrance examination, as their admission will be provided on the basis of their performance in an interview.
