Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Nursing is a private Nursing College and was established in 2006-07. The College is run by the Centre for Higher Studies and Research for A.A.H. Education Society. The Society is also running a Mahatma Gandhi Homeopathic Medical College (B.H.M.S.) 41/2 Year Degree Course and one B.ed College. College objectives are To Prepare Nursing Graduates to assume responsibility in preventive, promotive, curative & rehabilitative care of the patients at hospital and community level, To meet the acute shortage of qualified nursing personnel in the country in general and state of M.P. in particular, To Provide qualified nurses to cope with advancement in Medical Science and Technology and To Provide job opportunities to younger generation to enable them to assume responsibility as better citizens in the society. Nursing is an art & science. Nursing is a Positive: creative work and has a great part to play in building, presenting, and nurturing the health of people in hospital and community. Nursing is essentially a profession of Dedication. Love for humanity, faith and courage. To be successful in this Profession one should have creation qualities viz. sound health, courage honesty, Emotional, maturity and above all compassion to sarve. However these Qualities and many more can be developed and nurtured during the terms. It depends on the individual to benefit from the opportunities to development talent personality and character for becoming an efficient nurse and a useful member of the society. Nursing was established in 2006, because not only in India, but also in foreign countries there is lack of qualified nurses. Private hospitals also do not have qualified nurses, that is why qualified nurses are in demand not only in India but also in foreign countries. Madhya Pradesh Government is giving 100% job guarantee to B.SC. Qualified nurses.
