Nightingale college of Nursing is situated at Nedumangad, Trivandrum with all the physical facilities and faculty positions as per the norms of the Indian Nursing Council. The overall aim of the course is to prepare professional nursing graduates who are competent to render quality services to the clients in all setting, participate and co-ordinate the nursing services and nursing education at different levels and cater the growing demands of nursing graduates in the services of the ailing mass. The curriculum is based on the directives of the Indian Nursing Council. During the period of training, nursing students are given practical instruction by senior ward staff. Their work is organized and supervised by nurse tutors. They also attend lectures by specialists in various fields of medicine ands may totally be devoted to study. Lectures are given on various aspects of medicine and nursing. During the training period, the nursing students are moved around all nursing departments.
