The Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) has emerged as an All India Professional Body in the year 1975 with merger of three professional associations, the National Association of Materials Management, the Materials Management Association of India and the Materials Management Association of Hyderabad and is recognized by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) a body under Govt. of India Ministry of HRD. The institute represents a wide spectrum of professionals engaged in various facets of materials management responsible for planning, sourcing, control and distribution of materials and services through its wide network of 50 branches & 19 chapters spread over the length & breath of the country, IIMM is dedicated to the profession of materials management through its multifarious activities including various Education Courses, Executive Development programmes, Seminars, Workshops, In-house Training Programmes & Consultancy. To have an effective global interaction on the subject, the IIMM is a Charter Member of International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), having its registered office at Bristol, UK which has its roots in 43 countries from all the six continents and has a membership of over one lac. The institute has established its Research Centre in association with IISWBM at Kolkata. The Institute is registered under the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) and the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950.
