SCMS pioneered Communication and Allied Media education in the State of Kerala. It has the rare distinction to be the first institution in Kerala to get Government recognition for PG Diplomas in Public Relations, Advertising and Journalism. Course approval by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) was a feather on its hat.
