Dairy and Food Industry contributed towards the tremendous progress recorded by the agriculture sector in our country. The requirement of the processed food has increased tremendously for the society for domestic consumption as well as for export purpose, on account of the fast development in the food processing and packaging industry. In view of these, the Strategic Development Project of the Rajasthan Agriculture University accepted the suggestions of the college and consequently recommended the widening of the scope of the then Dairy Science College by converting it into Dairy and Food Science Technology CDFST
