Our College, Shri Shahaji Chh. Mahavidyalaya was started in 1971 by Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Shikshan Sanstha, earlier known as Victoria Maratha Boarding. It is our pride to serve in the college established by the boarding with great heritage. Started with a meager strength of 174 students in Arts and Commerce faculties providing undergraduate programmes, the college has grown significantly and reached to the strength of 3500+ in 2014 with undergraduate course in B. A, B.Com, BCA, and Postgraduate programme in Commerce (M.Com.). The college has recently received the approval of state government and Shivaji University to start Science faculty.

With the addition of Science faculty the college has become a multi- faculty institution. The college has also started MBA programme of YCMOU, Nasik for the benefit of candidates deprived of regular professional education. Thus we have today four UG and two PG programmes. The teaching staff is 29 and administrative staff 28.
