College of Agricultural Technology, Theni is a pioneering institution of agricultural education in southern districts of Tamil Nadu, affiliate to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. The College has been established in the year 2010 and it is symbolically designated as CAT, THENI by the official records and the public. The college is situated at the base of the foothills of Western Ghats of Kullapuram village, at distance of twelve kilo meter away from Theni city and close to the fertile ever green Cumbum valley and Vaigai dam. The campus is located in a calm natural surroundings with an extent of 153 hectares of land admits of hillocks with full of natural vegetations.
CAT, THENI has been established by SREE KRISHNA EDUCATION TRUST with the benevolent effort Dr. K. Balaraman .Msc(Ag), PhD., Founder and Managing Trustee of Sree Krishna Educational Trust.and Mrs. Kanagavalli Balaraman , Founder and Joint managing Trustee for the cause of agricultural education and development of this region.
