Rahat college of Education is Located at a serene and calm vicinity in Madhupur, Dist.Deoghar on the border of Jharkhand and West Bengal famous for its invigorating climate. It is a Junction of the Eastern Railway and all trains on the Howrah-Patna main line including Rajdhani Express stops here. This junction is only 80 kms from Asansol , 60 kms from Chittaranjan and the famous Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar) is just about 50kms from here. The college is situated at the outskirts of Madhupur town , only 3 kms from the railway station. The distance from Kolkata is traversed by train in about 4hrs and from patna it is 5 hrs. The college is working under the approval of Siddhu Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka. Besides the State govt of Jharkhand represented by the Secretary, Human Resource Department has also granted NOC/recommendation to our college for running B.Ed course of secondary level of one year duration with an annual intake of 100 seats.NCTE ,new Delhi via its regional office at Bhuwaneshwar has granted formal recognition under clause 7(11) of NCTE,Rahat College of Education (B.Ed) is a wing of RAHAT NGO which has been working towards empowerment of tribal and minorities in SanthalParganas (Jharkhand) since last 9 years. RAHAT came into existence in 2004 in Madhupur, Jharkhand by a group of like-minded, educated, professional and social workers. The NGO since its inception has been focussed towards the vision and aim to extend its area of work. Rahat College of Education has received NOC from Govt. of Jharkhand in 2012 and recognition from NCTE, New Delhi in 2013. The institute is formed for the noble cause of providing employment opportunity to the youth of this area and to prepare professionally competent and committed teachers in this academically backward area.
