Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved College Hospital and Research centre is established in 2007 by the vision and mission of Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Dattaji Megheunder the ambit of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences which was granted status of a Deemed University in year 2005 by the UGC.

It is progressing since then under the guidance of its founder Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra. Present Vice Chancellor Dr. Dilip Gode and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. V.K. Deshpande have profound support to achieve the goals of the institute. It is the first self funded University of this regionand it was accredited with an “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which is an autonomous body set up by the UGC.
