Rayat Shikshan Sanstha's Sou. Mangaltai Ramchandra Jagtap Mahila Mahavidyalaya was established in 1989 at Umbraj, on the confluence of three rivers Krishna, Tralai and Mand in satara district, Maharashtra. It is Single Faculty Women's college offering undergraduate programme B.A. It is Grant-in-aid College and affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The College offers five degree subjects at special level Marathi, Hindi, English, History and Sociology. Psychology, Geography and Economics are optional subjects up to B.A.II. The curriculum structure and Semester examination pattern is implemented as per University rules. The college, from its establishment is imparting higher education to the economically backward girl students from rural hilly area. It was reaccredited by NAAC in 2011 and has been given B grade (with CGPA 2.27).
