The College was established in the academic year 1996-97 at Thandalam Village, Poonamalle high road in a temporary site. Subsequently the College was shifted to Navalur in the academic year 2000-2001 at its permanent site. The college offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate degree courses and is situated in a picturesque campus at Navalur, Off Old Mahabalipuram Road, Chennai.
