Sri Devaraj Urs School and College of Nursing was started in the year 1995 and 1998 respectively by Sri DevarajUrs Educational Trust. The College is situated in Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Deemed University campus, Tamaka, at a distance of 6 Kms to the eastern part of Kolar, on Bangalore-Chennai Highway-NH4, well connected by road, rail and air due its proximity to Bangalore, which is 75 K.M. away. The nearest Railway Junction, Bangarpet is 15 K.M. away from Kolar.
The School and College of Nursing is approved by Govt. of Karnataka and recognized by Karnataka State Nursing Council as well as Indian Nursing Council. The school is affiliated to Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board, and the College to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka. The college obtained certification by ISO 9001-2000 in the year 2006, one of the few Nursing Colleges in India to have achieved this remarkable feat.
