The Allahabad Extension Centre, located on the Allahabad-Mirzapur Road commenced its journey in the 1997-98 session. In the initial years, its purpose was to conduct part-time B.Tech. Degree programmes in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical & Electronics Engineering for working Engineering diploma holders who wanted to further their studies. Subsequently, in response to the increasing demand for trained computer and management personnel across the country and also to provide job-oriented professional education and training to the youth of the area, several advanced programmes have been introduced. It goes without saying that the Allahabad Extension Centre incorporates high standards followed by BIT in its programmes and adheres strictly to the same parameters of excellence.
