कर्मयोगी पं० राम किशोर त्रिपाठी जी का जन्म 05 अप्रैल 1924 चैत्र रामनवमी के दिन ठठेरी बाजार सुलतानपुर में हुआ था। श्री देवदत्त त्रिपाठी जी आपके पिता और श्रीमती अभिराजी देवी आपकी माता थी। विसंगतियों और अभावो के कारण केवल मिडिल स्कूल तक की शिक्षा ग्रहण कर सके। पण्डित जी की पत्नी का नाम श्रीमती संवारी देवी और एक मात्र संन्तान पुत्री श्रीमती हीरारानी जी है। वास्तव में पण्डित जी का जीवनवृत्त शून्य से शिखर की यात्रा का जीवन्त दस्तावेज है। विभिन्न अभावों से जूझते हुए उन्होंने सत्पथ का मार्ग नही छोड़ा इसलिए उनकी जीवन यात्रा लोक मंगल के कर्मपथ से होती हुई मानवता के समग्र विकास की यात्रा कही जा सकती है। मनुष्य का परिस्कार करने वाली शिक्षा को उन्होंने सर्वजन सुलभ बनाने की दिशा में प्रशंसनीय उपक्रम किये। इसीलिए उन्हें 'महामना मालवीय' की उपाधि से विभूषित किया गया है।
