The first constituent of SHEPA, the Institute of Computer Science & Technology, was established in 1999 with MCA programme affiliated with VBS Purvanchal University and approved by AICTE. Subsequently, after setting up of U.P. Technical University, the affiliation got transferred to this University. Other programmes launched by the Institute are BCA, BBA and B.Com. All are affiliated now to M.G. Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi.
It is really encouraging to note that the buds that are blossoming in ICST, with young graduates, the products of ICST are contributing to the economic growth of the country either as computer scientist or as manager / commerce experts in government, trade and industry. There of the ICST faculty members have been given academic leave to earn M.Tech in computer science in addition to their initial degree of M.C.A. The ICST is recognized by U.G.C. under section 2(f) and 12 (B) for its academic excellence.
