Markaz Training College was started in 1995 under Markazutharbiyathil Islamiyya, a charitable trust established in 1984, headed by janab Panakad Hyderali Shihab Thangal and Janab P.K Hamzakutty Musliyar Adrissery. College is affiliated to Calicut University and recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

          It is a well equipped College of teacher education to provide quality teacher education to all classes of people, to attract and encourage talented and dedicated students towards teaching profession. The College is situated at Athavanad Village between Kuttippuram and Valanchery in Malappuram District. and  highly fascinating for its natural beauty and marvellous surroundings.

The nearest railway station is Kuttippuram from where one has to travel by Kuttippuram - Valanchery bus and alight at Markaz Moodalbus stop. The distance from the bus stop to the college is only 2 kms. One who is travelling by road may get a bus from either Valanchery bus stand or Kuttippuram bus stand and alight at Markaz Moodal bus stop..
