The concept of establishment of Bengtol College started in the year 1977. Eventually full- fledged College committee was formed in 1981. At that time the college could not get momentum to run due to various reasons. But ultimately by the late nineties, ’ the college got full momentum to run in its full stature. In respect o the establishment of the college the pioneers were Late Bhaben Chandra Ovary, Late Sunil Bhaumick, Sri. Andreas Hajar (then MLA) Shri. Isaac Narzary, Shri. Gregory Borgoyary, Shri. Domenic Basumatary, Dr. R.K. Narzary, Sri. Jonas Narzary and many more untiring conscious citizens of the area. The college has reached up to the present stature due to the relentless works and sacrifices of those persons. Indeed the establishment of this college was a great challenge for the area. Undoubtedly, the pioneers had to face various kinds of hardships and challenges in different situations and times to bring up this college up to this stage.
