The college is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, established in 1976 as a residential university through an Act of Legislative Assembly of Haryana with a specific objective to establish and incorporate a teaching-cum-affiliating University at Rohtak for the encouragement of interdisciplinary higher education and research with special emphasis on studies of Life Sciences and Environmental and Ecological Sciences. During the past years of its existence the University has attained a remarkable degree of success in its expansion programs, academic quality and infrastructural developments. National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC, has graded it as B++ University.
