The Navyug Vidyabhavan Trust came into existence in the year 1965 as a brain child of Late Principal Dr. D. G. Vashi, an eminent educationist and visionary.
In those days the institutes of higher education in various disciplines managed by the Sarvajanik Education society were pocketed on the eastern banks of the river Tapti and the areas on the opposite side of the river were not fully developed.
