Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute (DBHRGFTI) (Erstwhile Jyoti Chitraban Film and Television Institute) was established in January 1999. The Institute is the only Institute of its kind in the entire North Eastern Region of India, is a Regional Centre of Excellence for Education in Film and Television programme making.
