Government Arts and Science College - GASC Admission Open
Government Arts & Science College, Khozikode was established in 1964. The college is affiliated to the University of Calicut. This is a prime institute to impart quality education in Malabar region of Kerala.
The Government Arts & Science College started functioning with just two halls and an office room as a temporary arrangement . In 1968 the college was shifted to the permanent building constructed by the PWD in the land covering an area of 20.15 acres acquired from the Zamorins,the erstwhile Ruler of Kozhikode, facing, five kilometers away from Calicut Railway Station, in August, 1970.
The college celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1988 under the principalship of Prof. S. Syamaladevi. In 2004 the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of the University Grants Commission accredited the College with B++ grade (Score 82.05) on 4th November 2004
