About Central University of Karnataka
Central University of Karnataka is located in Gulbarga in Karnataka. It has been established through an Act of Parliament (The Central Universities Act, 2009) by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan Period. At present, the university is operating from its temporary campus at Karya Soudha, Gulbarga University Campus. The Karnataka State Government has identified 621 acres of land at Kadaganchi Suntanur villages on the Gulbarga-Waghdhari Inter-State Highway in Aland taluka. The Central Universities Act 2009 aims at creating new central university the states which has no central or other Universities.
