The Institute is located at Vanita Vishram, Athwagate Surat, Gujarat 395001 , India. Sheth P.T. Mahila College of Arts and Home Science-SPTMCAHS college is providing education for the higher education either in the form of diploma course, degree course, master’s course or vocational training. The Institute has trained, competent and highly dedicated faculty to impart theoretical as well as practical training to the students, Regular involvement of the expert faculty from other reputed institutions and organizations helps in improving the quality and gives wider exposure to the students.
Initially this college used the building of Arts and Science College and then if had given fund for its own building by the owner of old electricity company, Sheth Girdharlal Motilal contractor in the name of his father Sheth Motilal Nathalal Contractor College of Education, Dabhoi. And became famous from 1974.

This institute is capable to train 108 trainees in every year and is granted by National Council for teachers education,(NCTE) Bhopal. Admission process of trainees is governed by Central admission Committee Gujarat University,Ahmedabad.
