The far-sighted & progressive thoughts of His Holiness Shri. Gurubasava Mahaswamiji, Bilur, led to the genesis of Basaveshwara Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhaka Sangha (B.V.V Sangha) on 18 October 1906. Started with a humble goal as a Sanskrit Pathashala to impart ‘Sanskara’ to younger generation through ‘value-based’ education, the activities of the Sangha have grown manifold. Today, more than 120 educational institutions spread across Bagalkot, Belgaum & Bilur (Maharashtra) stand a testimony to the Sangha’s stupendous contribution to the field of education.
