     St. Mary’s College, (Autonomous) was founded by the Servite sisters in the year 1948. Its vision “to make young women agents of an egalitarian society through liberative education” has established a legacy of quality higher education for women, in the coastal town of Thoothukudi. The college rests on an aesthetic ambience, with spacious classrooms, hostel, labs, library and campus utilities, catering to students’ needs.. .

    Students are enrolled irrespective of caste and creed. The marginalised section of young women and first generation learners are given the utmost priority.
