   The Managing Trustee of Vidyasagar Educational Trust , Shri.V.Vidyasagar is an octogenarian personality of udumalpet. He is a philanthropist. He was the chairman of Udumalpet municipality from 1955 to 1962. The drinking water supply scheme was conceived and implemented during this period with the blessing of the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Thiru Kamaraj.

  Thiru V.Vidyasagar was instrumental in the construction of udumalpet weekly market and the central bus stand . He created the Vidyasagar Educational Trust in 1990 and Vidyasagar college of Arts and Science was built by the trust in 1991. At present he is the managing trustee. Shri V. Vidyasagar has rich experience in the field of higher education.
