Shree Padmavathi Mahila Hindu College of Education was founded in the year 1977 by Sri Daitha Madhusudhana Shastry, Advocate by profession, a great administrator & visionary.His inherent spontaneity, vivacity and compassionate heart urged him to reach out the neediest. S.P.M.H.College of Education owes every thing to this great Personality who initiated it. It was inaugurated by Minister for Education and Cultural Affairs Honorable Sri M.V.Krishna Rao. The function was presided over by Sri M.V.Rajagoal LA.S., Vice-Chancellor JNTU Hyderabad, attended by a galaxy of MP's and MLA's and intellectuals from different districts of Andhra Pradesh and elite of the Town Machilipatnam.

As a consequence an organizing committee was initiated. Sri.K.P.Mallikarjunudu Ex M.P. as president. Sri.D .Madhusudhana shastry as secretory and correspondent. SPMHCE was established with a view to render quality education to empower women aspirants.
