It is a rare blessing for Muthukulam to have an oriental Sanskrit institution – K.V, Sanskrit Higher Secondary School. The founder Manager of the school was Varanapallil Ummini Kunju Panicker laid the foundation of School in the year 1920, which has now flourished enormously and acting as a leading institution in this coastal belt. The authority to start a Sanskrit School was allowed by the then Travancore Divan Sir C.P, Ramaswamy Iyer through the initiative undertaken by Mavelikara M.L.C. Kochikkai Balakrishnan Thampi.After the death of Sri Umminikunju Panicker in the year 1937 N.Divakaran Panicker assumed charge as the Manager of the School. After Independence much reforms were made in our educational system and our school was upgraded as Krishna Vilasom Sanskrist English Middle School. In 1964 when R. Sankar was the Chief Minister the school was again upgraded as High School by the name, K.V. Sanskrit High School. After the demise of the Manager N. DivaKara Panicker in 1976, his son Sri. T.K. Rajendra Panicker assumed charge as the Manager.
Sri, T.K, Rajendra Panicker is a hard working personality with enlightened vision. As a result the institution was upgraded as Higher Secondary School in the year 2000. Now the School is acting as a role model with fine coaching and quality education at S.S.L.C. and higher secondary level in the District. Subsequently the school and other educational institutions has been registered and T.K. Divakaran Memorial Charitable Educational Trust, Muthukulam, The trust is formed in memory of the renowned Minister of the State Late T.K. Divakaran.
