Amritsar Aviation Club is one of the pioneer aviation clubs of India. It was established in 1962 by Govt. of Punjab as an approved and subsidized flying club (training institute) to promote aviation and provide opportunity to the youth to explore this highly skilled job-oriented profession. Earlier, it had Pushpak aircraft on its fleets, later Swati aircraft was added. Now, it has Cessna 172-R(Single Engine), Hansa-3 (Single Engine) and Baron G-58 (Multi Engines) aircrafts on its fleet. Many pilot trainees have already successfully completed their CPL from this club and are employed with various airlines/private operators/Central and State Govt
