Agriculture University, Jodhpur is an Agricultural University established on 14th September, 2013 vide Act No. 21 of 2013. It has been established to bring highly competent educated human resources in agriculture and allied sciences and upliftment of the economy of farming community. The priority of enhancing crop production under limiting water conditions would occupy the central focus. The jurisdiction of the University comprises 6 districts of agro-ecological zone out of 12 Districts of Arid-Semi-arid region. These are Arid Western Plain Zone Ia (Jodhpur and Barmer districts), Transitional plain of Luni Basin Zone IIb (Jalore, Pali, Sirohi districts) and part of Transitional plain of inland drainage IIa (Nagaur district).
