As a part of an expansion plan of Adarsh Vidya Prasarak Sanstha, the college was established in July 1995 with the objective of facilitating Quality Higher Education to the students in and around Badlapur. The College imparts Education in Arts and Commerce Faculty and offers self-financing professional courses like BBI, BMS & BAF. The vertical expansion in terms of Post Graduate and Research Program has come into effect in the form of P. G. courses in M. Com, (Management), M. Com. (Financial Accountancy), M. Com. (Banking & Finance), M. A. in Marathi, History and Economics. The college has been recognized as the ‘Centre of Research’ for pursuing Ph.D. in Business Economics. The college is Permanently Affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized under 2(f) and 12 B of UGC Act 1956. The college is also accredited by NAAC with CGPA 2.78 and B Grade in September 2011.
